| Gavin / Beretta take #4 to a hard-fought, but well-deserving, P2. A strong drive, great on-track fights, and a late-race 4-tire pit strategy set the Ollies up for a shot at the win and a secure podium finish.
Pre-race testing got the most out of the car. On race day, team and drivers did the rest of the job.
It's good to see the C6R up front, again. At Mid-Ohio, it appeared to us that - Corvette had the measure of the Lizard Porsches - Despite the new BMW aero parts designed to create more front downforce, the Vettes turned into corners better - Except for the HP advantage rumors say the Ferrari holds, the ZR1-inspired C6R is still a force @ top-end.
So, the pieces are coming together for Corvette to control its P1 destiny.
