Has this been confirmed? Last I heard it was one privateer Aston for Sebring and that was it... I hope it's true they are back for the entire season!

The current info on this is that Team Modena is entering a DBR9 only for Sebring. They will be racing the rest of the season in the LMS in Europe.

That's all that I had heard as well. I keep hoping the Factory Aston team will return for the entire season but as of now it looks like it will just be the two Vettes for the entire season.

Looks like the best the Aston Martins can do is chase the Ghost of the C6R and Ghost of the C5R around Europe and hope to beat them in the Le Mans Series. Team Modena will float one DBR9 for Sebring, then tuck tail and go back to Europe. The Prodrive team from 2006 doesn't have any drivers (all four scattered to other race teams for '07). Prodrive held a test 2/9-2/10, but no info as to their plans for 2007. Are they the chickens this year?

Aston is not capable of racing the yellow beasts straight up. They need IMSA to provide some performance balancing, or they simply get stomped by the C6Rs! So now they'll putz around in Europe and see who they can beat. They better pray that GM doesn't start crossing the pond for some LMS races!!!

i'm Personally Disappointed in learning-reading ALL of the Current ALMS News. no contenders for OUR beloved C6.Rs except for one "pirate" Aston??? where's the Competition in THAT? i've been to Road Atlanta and have supported-cheered the C6.R Vettes ON! and i've made comments here too. but i'm NOW pondering.......should i (we) even spend the money to GO to Road Atlanta 2007 (or elsewhere) to watch-view-see NO Competition?? where's the FUN in THAT??? after all, there's Speed Channel TV on at OUR House! save some moolah This Year?? signed, a True C6.R AND a BBV FAN! thanks for this SITE!!! LOVE BBV! thanks!

Well maybe some other team will come out to play just for the publicity. After all any entery no matter how slow will inherit a podium finish at every race. Can you say Saleen, Viper, Rambler, anybody want a podium. My '48 Buick could stand a little press...
