Tom Wallace may have put Jake on the '09 ZR1, but Elvis Presley may have inspired the ZR1 hood when he drove the original '59 StingRay SS 'tuned' with a clear hood scoop and painted red for the movie "Clambake" in 1967. Here, years later, [dead] Elvis is taking Dolly Parton for a spin in a commercial created by the Tennessee Tourism dept..
Rumors that Zora wanted the movie renamed "ClamShell" in tribute to the way the StingRay hood opens are unconfirmed. |
