This weekend, the European Le Mans Series kicked off with its pre-season test @ Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France. The Luc Alphand team broke cover with its 2 [for the first time] C6R's, having finally retired the C5 chassis. Note the new liveries.
#72 drivers- Luc Alphand, Guillaume Moreau #73 drivers- Roland Berville, Jean Luc Blanchemain, Sebastien Dumez
The LA cars were atop the Day 1 GT1 sheet with almost identical times- #72 @ 1:55.073, #73 @ 1:55.105. But, with Day 2, the Labre Saleen was faster, #72 in 2nd, and the Gulf-liveried ProDrive AM moving ahead of #73 as of the last published report. Testing continues. 2 other cars of interest were the non-GT1 Astons- the AM powered LMP1 [with GT1 power] and the AM Vantage GT2.

The difference is because one has the 207 rear and the other doesnt. Reason for this, is because the new LAA car was used for Laguna and was fitted with the 2007 specs. Carsport Phoenix and SRT have the same rear (because it is from the 2007 ALMS)
