So now it's the C6.R's turn to be humbled by the 007/009 Aston Martin racers - or is it?ALMS mandated handicaps force-fed the C6.R's the equivalent of a "SuperSizeMe" fast food diet by adding 199 lbs. of beef along with smaller intake air restrictors. This allowed the AM racers to do what they had big trouble doing on their own: Win.
It worked, as the unfairly changed playing field allowed the AM racers back to back victories at Lime Rock (7/1) and the Utah Grand Prix (7/15). Perversely it has made for more intense and exciting competitiveness between the two factory foes. Next up: The Grand Prix of Portland (7.22)
