The Corvette Headlines from the Detroit GP -

* Beretta and Gavin get the win, their first since St. Pete. Another Corvette pit stop exchange determines the winning Corvette.

* Corvette wins the 'Intra-Corral Car Count Competition' with the most owners bringing the most cars to display vs Porsche, Viper, Ford, etc..

* Smart Car wins the award for 'Parking the Most Cars in the Smallest Corral Space'.

* As the Corral Vettes line up / await their track lap, the audio concert of Bowtie Thunder in 'mass idle' is a choir performance to the V8 Gods [Katech installs are basso profundo, Z06's are solid tenors].

* The audio excitment is, however, kicked to another level anytime the C6R's go full throttle alongside street race barriers like @ Belle Isle.

* Detroit is one of the bumpiest and slickest tracks on the circuit, but the 'Vettes, just seem to traverse it all with no chassis movement [bounce, jounce, side slip, etc.]. What IS under that bodywork for a suspension design / setup? [...and even though it's a 'big car', it still changes direction like a LMP!]

* Acura is the first manufacturer to announce a plan to change classes in 2009 [moving up to LMP1].......Porsche unsure of next year's plan [No Penskes?]. Corvette also not ready to announce, yet [but, somehow / someway, they will be back??].
