I don't think Corvette Racing should move exclusively to GT2 but they should deffenitly expand the team to GT2 if it is allowed. Or Corvette Racing could just make a second team... maybe "Infant-Vette Racing"... I just think it would be tits to watch Corvette take both titles in ALMS, but GT1 has to stay just incase someone desides to come along thinkin their the new sheriff in town...

Sure why not, it will be fun! The normally aspirated Z06 Corvettes from the assembly line already kicks butt on Porsche, Mercedes, Ford, Dodge, Ferrari and Panoz. Without sounding over confident, but looking forward to the competition.

I think Corvette should race in both GT1 and GT2.. Just to see how many more teams they can scare away. :)

Keep both 'main' cars in GT1 but field a test car in GT2 at a few ALMS races this year JUST IN CASE nobody else shows up to play. A-M Racing will be at Le Mans so at least there will be GT1 competition there!

Here in Europe there is a lot of competition in both FIA-GT and LMS... i think Chevy should come here and show the way to the various Ass-Ton, Maserati and Saleen teams... i think that in the next year somebody will show up in GT1 even in the US ;-)

Corvette needs to do something. Sebring was a snooze without Aston Martin. Watching the 2 Vettes touring central Florida was just not that great. Love the GT1 Vettes!Hate to see them go away. Would also love to see Corvette wotk GT2.

Well I don't think Corvette Racing should have gone to GT2 from the begining, because remember the new Z06 wouldn't be what it is with out the input of the C6.R!!!

the rules give turbodiesel engines 37 % more engine displacement than a turbo'd gasoline engine in P1. in short, diesels are still favored.

Aston Martin's CEO isn't afraid to race in 24 Hour races. He drove a near-stock V8 Vantage at the 'Ring in June last year. It takes lots of $$$ to race in GT1 anywhere. There are now only 3 series in Europe that allow GT1 cars.

If we cant get decent competition for the car in GT1, we may as well go to GT2 and have ALMS kill the GT1 class altogether. I want to directly compete with Porsche and Ferrari anyway.

Competition forces quick engineering fixes that will hopefully show up in the roadcar, so we have to have it. Its more fun to beat somebody else anyway.

I`ve always been a corvette fan and I`m really happy they kick everyone`s ass (viper, saleen, ferrari, astons....)
it`s true there`s no one to race in alms gt1, privateers are doing well in europe in the fia gt and lms.......well what`s the next step? gt2??? nahhh! what`s the point, way too easy I guess.
what I would like to see is the corvette racing in the super gt gt500 class in japan. I know there`s maybe no point in racing there marketing wise but I think it would be great seeing those bad boys thunder scaring the hell of the japanesse fans, and watching the c6r`s beating the nissan gtr`s.
I know rules are different but maybe an exibition race in a high speed circuit where a gt1 car has a bit of an advantage.
Wouldn`t you think that would be great???
