| Although it may not be what you hope / think. Seems the ACO and race car builder / team ORECA have cooked up something called Formula Le Mans for 2009 and beyond. A training ground series for aspiring drivers and teams with races in Europe alongside the Le Mans Series events.
....and they had a news release. ....that mentioned the spec cars [LMP2-derived] would run a V8, American power. ....with the website adding further engine details that it would be a 6.2L, 430BHP powerplant.
Now, where have we heard THOSE numbers before? [eg- 2009 Corvette LS3 6.2L 430HP V8]
The car should be breaking cover soon to test as first race is in April. |
