We hope someone remembers that Corvette did NOT contribute to the Billion Dollar losses.
Corvette makes $$$ for GM.
So, when we hear internal GM talk about 'dog whispering' Corvette / Corvette Racing because it may not send the right message in 'these times', BBV says, 'Whoa'. This is not a corp. jet or Citibank Field 'wtf are they spending $$ upon' scenario. This is a money-maker play.
T'was us, the BBV version of GM would be proudly telling the Gov't. about Corvette,
eg - "Our 200 mph / 25 mpg ATM".
....and how GM will rejig its product / sales / marketing plans to actually make money on the other cars / trucks / cuv's, because of the lessons learned from the loyalty sales model that IS Corvette.
No race was ever won by just cutting costs.

Just do away with GM period! Have all the maker's who were under GM become independant (and american owned/operated) and I totally agree with Mikey; have Corvette become its own elite echelon of car manufacturing, its time Jake finally keeps those boys (and girls) across the pond and over in the far east in the rear view mirror! Hey! No gramatical errors! I should stick to this one finger typing method!
