Congrats guys it was a well deserved victory. its a shame the #64 had a DNF so close to the finish. it will truly be a day to remember with corvette racing making its last appearance in GT1 and taking the win. best of luck in GT2.

I'm just back from Le Mans and it was amazing to see the 2 vettes so close after 20h of race !!! It's really a shame it couldn't be like that until the end because all the team did a great job during this big week !

Congrats on the victory! The GT1 Vettes will go down in the history books as being some badass cars. I look forward to your gt2 efforts.

is katech doing the engines for GT2? I heard somewhere they weren't doing the GT2 program. Who was listening to the corvette in-car on SPEED, the sound will be missed......
--- 85L98 from unknown on 06.14.09 at 1:04am
Aahh yes, The In Car Sound of SPEED...!!! I'm hoping my '87 will sound a bit more like that when my exhaust is finished.
Way to go in GT1, bring on GT2 competition!! Can't wait to see the new cars up at Road America.

Ill be there. I might bring the 85' if the weather holds to corvette corral
--- 85L98 from unknown on 06.14.09 at 2:34pm
Yeah, I heard there was going to be a corral, but I haven't seen anymore info on that... I will have the Vette reguardless!

Great win for the entire team, they went and handled business. With all the talk lately of GMs demise, people should not forget how Corvette stands as a world dominating brand. What they have done in GT1 has been something of legend. While everyone may talk about the Audi dominance, they should not forget that Corvette was right there all the time.

Maybe sometime in the future, when the economy gets back up and running, Corvette will once again Join the GT1 races again... Time will tell...
Support is still here from all your Vette Fans in GT2 racing!

No more GT1 period. They are being blended into a single GT class for next year I believe, so it was time to change anyway.

So will corvette race GT1 and one car in GT2 at Mid-Ohio? or is GT1 for corvette done for the year and for good?
--- Arden from Ohio on 06.17.09 at 1:53am
Arden, Corvette Racing is finished with GT1 for good. Both cars will race in GT2 at Mid-Ohio and will complete the 2009 season in GT2 and will run full time in 2010 and on.
