| That's the goal Godug has set for the Team in 2007 vs 2006. That's how the team is being pushed to be prepared for the LeMans challenge.
So, to those who think the Corvettes are cruising and coasting during their ALMS races, Godug sets the record straight.
Via this goal, the cars and drivers run hard -
* To test the equipment for speed, performance, and durability * To continue to develop the tire compounds * To evolve the computer simulation software that helps find setups faster and better * To keep the team and drivers sharp and "on-call" to run 10/10th, as needed.
Of course there has only been 1 track so far that can actually be compared to last year (Sebring) but they are running hard at every race and they'll have a chance this weekend at Houston to prove it.
......And remember the new A/C system? Well, the team is hoping for hot weather in Houston to really test it out.
You know, Penske ain't the only guy that's thorough. In fact, since he raced and managed Corvettes and Chaparrals early in his career with Jim Hall's back door factory effort, maybe HE learned a thing or two from Chevrolet and Corvette....... |
