| Fourth Time"s a Charm for 3 | |

| In the fourth race of the season the 3 car finally finished in 1st place. Johnny O'Connell and Jan Magnussen stopped "The Ollie's" win streak at 3 in Houston, finishing 50 seconds ahead of the #4 C6.R.
If we check the GoDug "1 Second Rule" we find success-
* Last year's Corvette best time was 1:08.937, this year's best time was a race lap of 107.424........and 2007 qualifying was an even lower 1:06.963. Check that one off the BBV "TO DO" list!
The #3 and #4 pit crews performed equally well with only a 1.1 second difference between each car's total time in the pits.
O&M led 103 of the 138 laps they completed.
But the big Houston story is............... How can ALMS promote its TV package with a straight face when the race is broadcast a "timely" 1 week later? We love the ALMS and we love network coverage, but WTF? Tell me they did not time-buy this privilege.
......and in the same spirit of immediacy, the ALMS has just announced their 2005 racing schedule. |
