I can already see where this is going; just like GT1. Hopefully the ACO will step up and tell them teams to either make better cars or get used to seeing the C6.RGT in front!!!

The new GT2 vette had issues as well...so..I don't see where the complaining is coming from. It's legal next year, work it into the program when its' allowed..

Whatever. There is nowhere to run and hide...the end is near. Corvettes have had to race Corvettes in order to get competition for years...who cares about the direct injection, Corvette is running a corked up LS7...there is plenty of power on tap. If I were Porsche and Ferrari, I would be worried more about the GT2 specific rubber in the works from Michelin and the fact that it only took the C6RS one race to get on the podium and three to get to the top. Play the Darth Vader theme music now...

I agree. Its funny how GT2 works as far as the transformation of each of the cars street, to GT2 spec. You have to detune a ZR1 vette, viper, ford GT, and ferrari 430 (believe it or not) the porsche GT3 is basically a little more aggressive than the street GT3 RS. And then the BMW with all the modifications its been done to could have been a GT1 car if it were done to a porsche or vette. I say we go to a corvette challenge where grand sport vettes with 6 speeds and other race equipment race as a backup series to the ALMS. I wasnt here long enough to witness the first corvette challenge so I hope I could get to see a new one formed.

next years engine will be a 5.5 liter small block V8 SOHC two camshafts four vales per cylinder, Direct Injection System and E85-R. There going to be more crying come next year, went the new engine come's.

What, they can't take a little competion?! it's bullshit... As far as I recall, the Ferrari kept up with the Corvette just fine at Mosport, Toronto Canada. They're only crying just to get a favouring chance in winning.. The GT1's were handicapped too and had less power than the AM DBR9.
It's bullshit, that just because they win 1 race and are competitive they suddenly have to be put down... They just don't like Corvette simple as that.

I say the Corvette team needs to look no further than some of the NASCAR boys and put those Porsche and Ferrari girls into a hard concrete wall somewhere at Road Atlanta. Maybe coming out of #10 just before the Suzuki tunnel?

well we saw some contact at mosport so I wouldnt be that shocked lol! But please. Im sick and tired of whining in top level motorsports. If they keep whining like that then ALMS will be like sports car IRL. I say they should outfit a factory ZR1 with GT2 regulation safety equipment and some BBS wheel with michelin rubber. Sad thing is is that it would be faster than the rest of the GT2 field on faster thacks like Lemans, Road america, and sebring.

you should go over on planet lemans and read some of the commments they think that the corvette's will be slower this year and one think's the chassis will be one year old come next year.

Really...does anyone not notice that Corvette is not in a POINTS championship race? Whereas Porsche and Ferrari are? I think they have every right to bitch and complain so either Risi or Lizards can get the maximum amount of points possible, IMSA acknowledged that, and therefore the request to remove the DFI was done. Look at all of the reasons before casting judgement on Porsche and Ferrari..AM was a whole different ball of wax..Dave Richards is a whiny little bitch..

You mean to tell me that Corvette Racing's DFI technology is enough of a threat to Risi and the Lizards in their precious points race that they have to suddenly keep down the competition in GT2?

The major advantages of a Direct Injection engine are increased fuel efficiency and high power output. In addition, the cooling effect of the injected fuel, and the more evenly dispersed mixtures allow for more aggressive ignition timing curves. Full power is used for rapid acceleration and heavy loads (as when climbing a hill). The air-fuel mixture is homogeneous and the ratio is slightly richer. Just thinking about the hills and curves at Road Atlanta makes me want to puke!
