Thanks to Pratt & Miller Engineering [re-engineering, actually] and Chevrolet, the Corvette brand, its BadBoy drivers / technicians, and the Bowtie are poised for some heavy-duty perfomance and exposure. First appearances coming @ the 3-day pre-race test just happening.

* Corvette makes its P+M return to the Rolex24 [since the ALMS / Grand Am split and P+M’s winning-ways last visit] via the #07 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR Corvette C6R – team-managed by legend Tony Dowe, race-driven by Paul Edwards, Davy Jones, John McCutchen, Scott Russell, and Leighton Reese.

Seems it’s Reese lending his P+M Pontiac GXP from last season to serve as the backbone for this C6R re-tweak. The Godstone website has more details and pics of the Vette.

* Then, we have the return to the cockpit of Jan Magnussen in the Pratt+Miller-built #57 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GTR. Mags will share this ride with Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell setting themselves up as real favorites for the GT win.

* When Pontiac went ‘big sky’ [sounds Indian for ‘dead’, right?], Chevrolet stepped in as the powerplant for the reigning champs - the #99 GAINSCO / Bob Stallings Racing Riley DP.

Wheeled by Jon Fogarty, Alex Gurney, Jimmy Vasser, and Chevy NASCAR champ - Jimmie Johnson, apparently the deal included Impala headlight decals [just to make Jimmy feel @ home?]!

Good luck to all @ the Rolex on Jan 30-31.
