The C5R from the 2001 Daytona 24 made its way back to Florida to go on display at the Downtown Disney Orlando grand opening of a Ridemakerz store - The world’s first model car building and customizing shop. This race car was selected by Ridemakerz [and gladly sent down by Chevy / Corvette Racing] because it was the ‘vette that dad, Dale Earnhardt drove with son, Dale Junior.
The Disney Ridemakerz shop is a defining statement of its own. Taking advantage of the outrageous space provided, RZ built their own auto show with 1:1 examples of each Ride that RZ offers. For Corvette, in addition to the C5R, a 2008 Z06 Indy Pace Corvette and a 2010 ZR1 were also on display.
It would have been amazing to see the Earnhardt's race the vettes at Le Mans. Such a shame, but I'm glad they raced together at Daytona.

I was fortunate enough to see those C5r's at Daytona in 2001. What an incredible race. My fondest memory was taking a short nap overnight. Keeping track of the Vettes with my eyes closed from their glorious sounds. Magic!
