That is SO awesome! Anybody who calls Corvette a crappy car that can't turn and is just one big piece of plastic, knows NOTHING about them.

Agreed...Corvette is the greatest sports car in the world...would like to see a couple of 1-2's instead of 3-6's though.

Love the Carbon but I think that they should make the ultimate vette.
Like the old Mclaren F1 LM edition, or like the Ferrari´s FXX..... also the Audi R8 LMS and the Porshe GT3.
Imagine a all Carbon fiber vette with a GT style rear carbon fiber wing, with a rear air difusser, flat bottom, roll cage, racing seats, telemetry dashboard.
With a 7.0 L 650 HP engine with the ZR1 chasis, with sequential gearbox.
EXPENSIVE, so they should only make 5 of them.
The looks, only one color with clear carbon front splitter and side skirts, clear carbon mirrors, black headlights, black rims and ceramic brakes with red calipers.
and all black racing rear facia!!!

...I forgot to say something on my last post:
It has to be street legal, with C6R GT1 hood, air slots over the front wheels, lighter weight, no radio or AC, just plain business.....

That would make the faster street legal road / race car.
Nurburgring in 7 minutes.

In case some BBV Fans have not notice, no new (earth chatttering)components on C6 since ZR1 (fiscal 2007-2008). The grand sport is a parts bin car with re-design front fenders. The launch control is a software program. The Carbon Z06 is a toned down ZR1 (parts bin again) and lately a new blue color. If sales do not increase, then the Bowling Green plant is going to be axed... It`s running at half capacity or less. So people, start buying what`s on the order sheet (or pre-owned on a chevrolet lot like I did). Elsewise forget the C7! Since 2005, Corvette became a brand for several reasons, one of them is a back door ticket for the auction block...

To the comment above:
GM will not get rid of corvette. They actually make money off of corvette in reality. Not only that, they have invested too much into the car and it is the only american sports car. Viper died because it was too young to gain a following. Corvette has a huge following. To get rid of corvette will piss the corvette following off and dont expect them to buy any more chevys. Corvette is here to stay, none of this sales BS will kill corvette. Its more than just a car to me and GM. (now heres an idea: bring back the RPO codes like in the 60-70's. If I drag race I want to buy a base C6, LS9 engine, and I want an auto trans. If I solo, I want a GS with michelin tires, carbon brakes, and the ZR1 close ratio trans. See how it works?)

I agree, bring back RPO codes. A lot of the people who buy Corvette's are the people who grew up around them in the 60s and 70s, and GM may see a sales increase.

Just an amazing video for any Corvette fanatic. The only true American Sports Car. I am very proud to be a Corvette owner and Corvette Racing Fan.
