Lotus Evora vs Porsche Cayman vs Corvette Grand Sport. 'Tested' by Car and Driver Magazine.
But, let's get this straight. The Corvette equals the skidpad and 0-60 performance of the Porsche [beats the Lotus], crushes the competition on lap time by 3 seconds v Porsche and 5 seconds v Lotus [2:02 v 2.05 v 2:07]......
....but because it loses the lane change [63.3mph v 63.6 for Lotus v 67.2 for Cayman], Corvette is ranked 2nd to the Porsche?
We may have to post more comparisons to call out the bias and let Corvette facts speak the truth.
Car and Driver has always been more European sports car bias, at least in my opinion. I agree the Corvette should have been ranked at the top, but I am sure that if you question C&D they will have some excuse, such as "in the real world a quick lane change will take place compared to the skid pad, 0-60 or a fast lap".

Where I live, my second hand corvette wins big time since I did not have to pay a 6.2% duty tax when it crossed the border... Thanks to the NAFTA agreement. Second, powertrain and chassis on corvettes are cheaper to maintain. Third, Corvettes are sexier by far. Fourth, awsome lugage space with my hatchback. Fift, performance per $ can`t be beaten. I better stop because the thread will be too long !

Typical C&D BS...they should add those two letters to the name of their rag. They look for the imperfections in the American cars (see Corvette every d*mn time) and never allow the performance of the car to really shine through. Proof that the mag business is about sponsor dollars and who buys more ad space. Maybe Chevy should buy some full-page ads month after month like Porsche does and then we'd see some '1st places'. What a load....

Its as simple as this. If GM would give the Vette a model specific steering wheel and more supportive seats, the Vette would have won every comparison test since the C6 came to be.

I agree, needs model specific materials.

I stopped reading Car and Driver Magazine because it was so bias. No American car was ever as good as the junk from over seas. We don't need them to test the Corvette to tell us how good it is. We already know.

That is so true about the seats. Every single article I've ever read agrees with the seats. And its true imo my C4 seats hold better then my dads C6. Corvette could easily do better and I bet they will on the C7
