Seriously. I know what CBS is trying to do. But I would rather watch the race in full. They are trying to drum up fans.. But I would rather watch the race on SPEED everyday of the week and twice on sunday!

Alex: First it is not CBS doing anything! Watching the race in full was offered via a stream from the ALMS! A replay is available at the ALMS site right now, so you can watch it every day of the week and twice on Sunday! This is a docudrama that will show a different look than raceday allows while keeping all us Rabid Jakesters satiaited with LIVE RACING. ;)

Will this be another lame CBS highlight show?
--- C4rrr from Nc on 08.13.10 at 8:48pm
I am sure CBS will not cover this as hardcore ALMS fans want. They will show the LMP cars the majority of the time I am sure. They broadcast it to try and appeal to everyone that tunes in. If you have not seem the race yet go over to the ALMS site, they have it linked there.

Actually, it wasn't all that bad. There were some cheesy parts like when the Drayson team was explaining the differences between the 4 classes. The narrator's voice could have been different, perhaps, maybe the narrator from "Truth In 24".

I'm for anything that promotes and paints the ALMS in a positive light. It is some of the most accessible, forward thinking, competitive, and relevant racing in the world.

Well I only watch about half of the show so far. Will finish it tomorrow. I will admit they did a good job of explaining how ALMs and the four different classes. If I had not watched the web cast last week I would have been disappointed in the shorten version of the race and all of the behind the scene info. But on the whole I would give it maybe a B or a B- for what was shown and for the explanation that might help ALMS gain a few more fans. I know if you watch NASCAR much and then watched this it may have you saying that it is a nice change and good racing without a caution period every time you turn around.

yes have Jason Statham do the voice..at lease people would recongize the voice! It was good though! John from ALMS Radio always does a good job for commenting at the track and on XM. Who of you will be at Road America next weekend?

It wasn't live but it was an excellent and enjoyable recap. Best CBS coverage of ALMS thus far, IMO.
