Now we're talking. 100x better than last years livery. They'll have a winning season for sure!
--- Shakedown067 from Tampa on 02.08.2011 at 3:54PM
Check that, saw the back of the car...it'll be another long season.
--- Shakedown067 from Tampa on 02.08.2011 at 3:58PM
Not a fan of any part of it. Looks cheap and unfinished.
Last year's was perfect. BRING IT BACK!!!!!!
--- Jon from SC on 02.08.2011 at 4:01PM
very underwhelmed...going to take a lot of getting use to if I can.
--- Kudzu from unknown on 02.08.2011 at 4:12PM
Please tell me it's not done. Or it's a WT thing only. Or that's them joking with us. Or showing us what they wouldn't wrap the car in. Please.
--- TJ from Jersey on 02.08.2011 at 4:15PM
Looks boring to me. Sorry. I like the jake test paint job from last year.
--- anomirc6 from unknown on 02.08.2011 at 4:51PM
I have a feeling this is not the final version. But remember also the yellow shows up far better on TV than any mainly black scheme and that's what sponsors want. Besides, the cars are painted black on the back to better hide oil/exhaust leaks...something learned from the C5R days.
--- JerryL from Miami on 02.08.2011 at 5:04PM
This looks terrible? Why has P&M decided that the GT2 car has to be littered with some gaudy, cartoony decals? The GT1 car soldiered on for years more or less solid yellow and it looked great. Simple, but classy. This year and last year have looked like they let some white trash tattoo artist go crazy on the design.
--- Mike from MI on 02.08.2011 at 6:38PM
I liked the C5R paint... the all yellow with black rear end...
--- Waldo from Chile on 02.08.2011 at 7:24PM
Very generic and boring.
--- Anonymous from unknown on 02.08.2011 at 7:26PM
They should have done a "paint the 2011 car" contest with a popularity vote....that's just as generic as it gets...
--- Shifter from Tucson, AZ on 02.08.2011 at 7:54PM
Oliver Gavin tweeted a picture of the cars on the front straight. The facebook page also shows a rear view - which isn't totally black this year. All in all, I'm disappointed, but it could be worse.
--- BFisch06 from VA on 02.08.2011 at 7:58PM
Bring back the GT1 Laguna Jake scheme!!! Those were the meanest, toughest, and BAD AZZ looking paint job ever. That was intimidation for the competition to see.
--- SunsetC6 from North Carolina on 02.08.2011 at 8:10PM
Don't really like it. As far as paint goes I preferred the very first, fractal GT2 paint scheme...that being said, if they bring it on the track this year, it could be painted dookie brown for all I care. I want wins, not art.
--- screx0472 from unknown on 02.08.2011 at 8:11PM
I prefer back in the times where colors and graphic patterns where associated to corporate power houses. The Corning L88 paint schemes (pink on white) had meaning at least. Bring back Jake Scrapes !
--- Zonker from Montreal on 02.08.2011 at 9:40PM
Please, stop the crying.
--- Anonymous from unknown on 02.08.2011 at 11:42PM
Pretty sad when the Larbre customer C6R looks BETTER than the factory Compuware C6R. They were smart enough to borrow from the 2009 factory livery
--- MacBoy from SoCal on 02.09.2011 at 8:34PM
The new color and paint scheme are nowhere near as good as last year was. But other than that, the Corvettes turned the quickest times at Sebring this week. Both factory Corvettes were the quickest.
--- asowash from unknown on 02.11.2011 at 12:16AM
It was great to see both Corvette's running at the top in all 4 sessions, but remember this was a test session, and we have no idea what the other teams were trying and if they were holding back a little. Maybe Corvette Racing was not showing everything it has either.
