How Was ESPN3?
How Was ESPN3?

If you wanted to watch the race live this past weekend you had to do so with the help of some sort of computing device, and that's the way it's going to be for the rest of the season whether you like it or not. So how did it go?

Our experience was generally a very good one. A laptop connected via HDMI to our flatscreen provided almost uninterrupted HD footage for over 12 hours straight. A couple of hiccups here and there resulting in stuttering, blockiness, or the image to be frozen corrected themselves, usually within 15 seconds, and it was easy viewing the rest of the way. The thing that surprised us most was the quality; it really was an HD broadcast - except with shorter and fewer commercials.

Now that you've (hopefully) seen it in action, what do you think of ESPN3? If you wimped out and settled for the ABC recap the next day, post a comment and we'll help you get set up for Long Beach.
