Jake is a real world traveler. For the 2012 season of the Japanese Super GT series, GT3 cars have been allowed into the GT300 class.
There are two GT3 Corvette Z06-Rs entered. One from TOMEI SPORTS , and one from DIJON Racing

Im pretty sure the 5.5L max displacement was an ACO regulation, not an IMSA rule. However I think there is a clause to the displacement rule to where if you exceed the max displacement you get a higher minimum weight. Idk if this I true or not but I remember hearing something like that. But still if they can run 8L+, we should be able to run 6.2 or 7.0L
