Will Corvette Racing use the same (2016) cars this year? or did P&M build new cars for the 2017 season?

I don't know for sure, but I would assume they are new chassis. They did have a 3rd backup chassis last year. Also, with the possibility of a Larbre GTE-Pro car in WEC they would need to build more cars to the current specs (2016).

Broadcasting appears to be another mix of FS1 & FS2, and that is terrible because most carriers do not offer both FS1 and FS2. And it did not look like IMSA would show the whole race on IMSA TV - why can't they improve this?

Don't we have half a dozen Vettes we can run against 4 fords? Throw a few ZL-1's and a Chevelle or two - wtf?...

You would think "Corvette Racing" would say something on their website about this serious incident at Daytona.
But then again they were never very good at providing information to their fans about anything about the cars, the team or any changes they plan on making.
Almost seems as they operate in secrecy.

Pikanjoe, the Corvette Racing website generally runs a day or 2 behind on posting. They don't run in secrecy. CR made an official statement the day of the incident. Teh fire was caused by a fuel line breakage. All damage was contained to the engine bay. Everything else was cosmetic. The car will be ready for the Rolex 24.

Thanks Chris for all you do with CR and the BadBoy website! Us fans are addicted to CR and the Pratt and Miller team. We are getting ready for Daytona and the start of the IMSA season. THANK YOU! We simply have the best fanbase and the best racing team!

Agreed with Johnny 0000 - Thanks for Team Vette racing updates. I just don't know if the rest of the world really gets it yet - how truly badass the Vette is... and you can have one too because standard production!

Yes, I agree the Corvette IS pretty badass, that's why I'm getting ready to drop my order for a new one, not sure if it will be a '17 or an '18 model. I'm waiting for the rumored ZR1 if/when it happens, not the also rumored mid-engine car. I think this season will be the toughest one yet in GTLM, with the new mid-engine Porsches, and BMW, Ford and Ferrari with a year experience under their belts, and Ford loading up the field can't help much either. I doubt the Vettes will be the fastest cars on track this year, but they will hopefully be the most consistent and reliable, but it does irritate me still that as of right now, only Corvette, BMW and Ferrari are the only ones racing a car that is actually available to the public while Ford is running a "production" model, even though one has yet to be seen or tested, and the mid-engine Porsche, we'll never see, just like BMW's V8 powered Z4. I did like that IMSA did address the sandbagging issues in GTLM, qualifying will be interesting this month, and I hope the ACO gets on board with that issue as well, to avoid another fiasco like last year's LeMans. In short, good luck to Team Corvette, hoping for another Championship season this year.
